Discover female artists through Artista, a mobile application that
curates videos and podcasts produced by leading art institutions.

Problem Statement

It’s still a common story: many art enthusiasts and casual museum-goers know all about Picasso and Van Gogh, but their knowledge of female artists is often limited. The list of female artists they can name is frequently short, and there’s a skewed focus on their male counterparts.

Solution

Develop a mobile app that provides curated video and audio content about female artists, produced by prominent art institutions. The app will address the gap in knowledge by offering immersive and educational content about both historic and contemporary female artists, helping users gain a deeper understanding of their lives, challenges, and contributions.

Artista aims to reframe art history. By connecting users to diverse female artists—both historical and contemporary—through engaging video and audio content, Artista makes it easy for everyone to broaden their art knowledge and celebrate the contributions of women in art.

Hypothesis

Artista will successfully connect users with female artists by offering engaging video and audio content from reputable art institutions. By increasing users' exposure to female artists, Artista makes it easy for everyone to broaden their art knowledge, and aims to enhance users' ability to remember and appreciate historical and contemporary female figures in the art world.

Wireframes: High-Fidelity

I iterated on high-fidelity variations, testing them to identify the most effective content design, which led to refining my initial low-fidelity concepts. This iterative process ensured the final design was both user-centered and optimized for engagement.
